COSENTYX – (Secukinumab)

Cosentyx is a biologic medication used to treat psoriatic arthritis, moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Cosentyx contains the active substance secukinumab, which is a monoclonal antibody that belongs to a group of medicines known as ‘interleukin inhibitors’. It works by neutralizing the activity of a protein called IL-17A, which is present in high amounts in conditions such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and axial spondyloarthritis.
