TUKYSA – (tucatinib)
Tukysa is an anticancer medicine used to treat locally advanced or metastatic (when it has spread to other parts of the body) breast cancer that is HER2-positive. This means that cancer cells produce a protein on their surface, called HER2, which stimulates cancer growth.
Tukysa is used in combination with two other drugs, capecitabine and trastuzumab, after at least 2 other treatments for HER2-positive cancer have been given.
