Pheburane (sodium phenylbutyrate)

Pheburane (sodium phenylbutyrate) is a pro-drug that helps reduce ammonia levels in the body by forming phenylacetylglutamine with glutamine. It is used to treat patients with Urea Cycle Disorders (UCD). It was approved by the FDA in June 2022 and by the EMA in July 2013.
